The Parish Council successfully lobbied for and obtained a reduction in the speed limit for the B2026 within the Parish. The Parish Council has successfully challenged the national speed limit that has always operated through the village via Kent Highways with a proposed scheme to reduce the limit to 30mph through the village. The reduced speed limit was introduced in March 2013.
Compliance, irrespective of speed limit signage, is a different aspect that is the responsibility of the driver. Where a specific issue has been raised to the Parish Council then speed limit enforcement has been undertaken via a request to Kent Police.
